What is Know Your Vehicle (KYV) verification?

It is mandatory that all FASTags issued, are associated with clear images of the vehicle and the tag. Hence, you require to submit clear images of the following:

1. The front and side views of your Vehicle
   • While taking the image from the front, license plate number and the FASTag sticker affixed to the vehicle should be clearly visible, along with the edges of the Vehicle.
   • While taking the image from the side, edges of the Vehicle both from the front side as well as the back side should be clearly visible.
2. FASTag sticker affixed on the windshield of your vehicle

   Take the image of the sticker from inside the vehicle after affixing FASTag sticker on the windshield. The Tag Serial Number on the sticker should be clearly visible.

3. Registration Certificate (RC)

   Upload the front and back images of the RC in the fields 'RC Copy Front', 'RC Copy Back'. You may choose to upload Digital RC copies obtained from DigiLocker or mParivahan apps.

Why is the KYV verification important?

As per regulations, it is mandatory to complete KYV verification. You need to ensure that all images uploaded are clear and correct. The KYV images will be verified by the Bank and if any application is declined based on the Bank's sole discretion, your FASTag will be hotlisted (you will not be able to use your FASTag at toll plazas and you must pay the penalty imposed by regulatory authorities). To remove the FASTag from the hotlist, you need to upload the correct documents again (through the steps given below). Only once verified and approved, your FASTag will be removed from the hotlist.

How to Complete KYV Verification

You can complete the KYV verification process through two convenient methods:

1. WhatsApp Banking

To begin the verification process via WhatsApp, simply send 'Hi' to 97666 30171 from your FASTag registered mobile number (IDFC ONLY).

1. Send the text "Complete Fastag KYV".
2. A MyRoadPay link will appear. Tap on it to proceed with the verification steps.
3. Verify the auto-populated details, such as 'License Plate Number', 'VIN/Chassis Number' and 'Engine Number'.
4. Upload the required images:
   • (a) FASTag sticker: Affix the FASTag sticker to the windshield and take a picture from inside the vehicle, ensuring the tag serial number is visible. Be aware that a penalty will be levied if the tag is not affixed to its designated vehicle.
   • (b) Vehicle Front: Take a clear image of the vehicle's front, making sure the license plate, FASTag sticker, and vehicle edges are all visible.
   • (c) Vehicle Side: Capture a clear side image of the vehicle, with both the front and back edges visible.
5. Click 'Submit'.

You will receive an on-screen confirmation, and the documents will be sent to the bank for verification. If your Registration Certificate is not already updated with us, you can do so through WhatsApp Banking by selecting 'Update Vehicle Details' in the 'FASTag Services' section.

2. IDFC Bank FASTag Customer Portal

Alternatively, you can complete the verification via the FASTag customer portal.

1. Log in to the Bank portal using your user credentials. If you are a new user, you'll need to 'Register' first.
2. Click on 'Upload KYV (know your vehicle) images'.
3. Select the vehicle number for which you need to perform the KYV verification.
4. Verify the auto-populated details such as 'Customer ID', 'Tag Account No', and 'License Plate No.'. You can verify the Hex Tag ID using a provided link.
5. Upload the required images, following these specifications:
   • (a) RC Copy: Upload the front and back images of the RC. Forged documents will result in a penalty.
   • (b) FASTag sticker: Affix the sticker to the windshield and upload an image taken from inside the vehicle, ensuring the tag serial number is clearly visible. A penalty applies if the tag is not on its designated vehicle.
   • (c) Vehicle: Upload separate images for the front and side views of the vehicle.
6. Ensure all images are clear, do not exceed 2MB in size, and are in either PDF or JPG format.
7. Click 'Submit'.

Verification and Status

After you submit your documents, you will see an 'Approval Pending' status for the RC, FASTag sticker and vehicle. The processing of your KYV verification will be completed within 3 working days.

• Approved: Once approved, the statuses will change to 'APPROVED' and your KYV verification will be complete.
• Rejected: If declined due to improper documents, the statuses will show as 'REJECTED'. Your FASTag will be hotlisted, meaning you won't be able to use it at a toll plaza. You will need to re-do the KYV process.

You will also note that the statuses against the RC, FASTag sticker and Vehicle (for which images have been uploaded) will show as 'Approval Pending'.
